Here is a link with a 2002 but the motor is the same. There is no sure fire way to make it a Honda Civic but from personal experience driving nothing but big trucks and suvs for years is driving habits. If I drive my truck like normal or what I think is normal I get 10.5 mpg, now if I drive like an old man for a whole tank I get 13.5 mpg....so here is the math I am getting 3 3mpg better. I have a 26 gallon tank. That is 3x26 = 78. 78 miles per tank 4 tanks a month 78x4= 312 miles more a month or in other words one less tank of gas a month at 103.74 a tank = 1244.88 a year. This is something I have personaly done this year and it is working. Also if you follow all the other little things listed on this link you could add a couple more. Thanks for asking you are now entered into the drawing for a free detail.

Ok my math was a little off on that answer If I only have to fill up 3 times a month instead of 4 I am saving 103 dollars a month so that would be around 1200 a year savings. Cars is what I love not math.
