Worlds Smallest Car!!!!

The Peel P50! Worlds Smallest Car

The Peel P50 is a THREE wheeled Micro car manufactured in 1962 and 1965 by a company by the name of, Peel Engineering Company. It currently holds the record for the smallest automobile to go into production.
Designed as a city car, it was advertised as being able to seat "one adult and a shopping bag." The vehicle's only door was on its left side, and equipment included a single windshield wiper and only one headlight, funny huh! They only came in three color's, two blue's and a Red. Blue's being one darker then the other.
In 2010 production of a replica version was started by a newly formed company, also called Peel Engineering. Externally this car was very similar to the original but with many major differences in the suspension, steering and drive train. Driven by an ELECTRIC motor and with a top speed of 10 mph, this version was produced as a display vehicle and was not road legal. In 2011 production kept going on a new road legal GAS version. Most colors from the original are used in the 2010 models with only Dark Blue being replaced by a color called Capri Blue. Would you buy one?

Crazy little car isn't it! Here's a Video done by a Top rated show over in England on BBC called Top Gear. It's a great show and this episode is one of their funniest. See this car in action, CLICK the Linked Video below!
